Four focus on safer using, with clear and accurate peer advice on using alcohol swabs to reduce bacteria; using tourniquets for making veins easier to find; making locations safer for when you may need to use in a public or unfamiliar space; and reducing the risk of transmission of blood borne viruses and bacteria. We've also made a three part interview with Professor Greg Dore from the Kirby Institute about hepatitis C treatments. In first in the series, Greg discusses current treatment medication regimes; in the second he talks about treatment and drug use; and the third takes a look at the future for hepatitis C treatment. The eighth video is a look at NUAA's Peer Participation Program. Our amazing Peer Participants talk about their experiences at NUAA, why they give their time to their community and what they have learned at NUAA. Number nine is about the stigma and discrimination that people who inject drugs experience every day.
NUAA would like to show our respect and acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora nation as the traditional owners of the land on which we have our offices and NSP.
